Canoeing down the Danube: Vienna - Bratislava
Starting from Wien Praterstern: right next to the railway station, the access to the river is a piece of cake here.
The Danube is majestic and beautiful.
Generally it’s easy to canoe on, except for a few small rapids and stray currents. Under normal circumstances they pose no problems though.
The “Am Terasse” campsite on the left bank just before the bridge in Hainburg is nice, but “too crowded” for us...
...so we opted for a much quieter place after the bridge.

Nearing the end of our journey in Bratislava.

Bratislava is surprisingly beautiful in comparison with Vienna in its cosiness and neatly kept banks.
